My new single “Late In The Evening” came out of wanting to create a big unapologetic heavy rock song. Turning up the fuzz pedal and laying down a seductive groove. I took everything I was listening to and have been influenced by, and mixed it up into something else. I wanted it to sit in a place between Howlin Wolf’s “Spoonful” and Arctic Monkeys “Arabella.”

I was on tour opening up for George Thorogood and one night before the show we were talking about songwriting and George was telling me about how songs with four word titles can often be the ones people remember. “Born To Be Wild”, “Run Through The Jungle”, “Bad To The Bone”. Out of that conversation “Late In The Evening” was born. 

When I was writing it, I thought of it as a scene from a film about desire and temptation; set at night and about an attraction leading to seduction between two people.
